Overview:
This project involved a complete redesign of Lone Star College’s virtual bookstore landing page, aimed at increasing conversions through clearer calls to action, improved navigation, and a mobile-first layout.

My Role:
As the lead web designer on the project, I was responsible for gathering all required content, designing the page layout, coding the site using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, and publishing it live via the OpenText CMS.

Design Process:

• The layout was prototyped in Adobe XD based on layout examples provided by the partnered bookstore vendor.

• Custom icons were created in Adobe Illustrator to align with the college’s visual identity.

• Although I encountered limitations customizing background elements due to system permissions, I adapted the design by sourcing appropriate assets from the college’s pre-approved library.

• Accessibility standards (WCAG) were maintained using prewritten styles embedded in the master CSS.

• The design was tested across multiple browsers and devices for consistency.

Outcome:
The redesigned virtual bookstore page was successfully launched on the official Lone Star College website, serving as the college’s new digital gateway for bookstore access. The live launch led to an additional project request for the Parents Landing Page.
