Overview:
This project involved a full redesign of the Lone Star College Parents & Family webpage, aimed at building trust with parents and providing a clearer, more engaging overview of how they can support their student’s academic journey.

My Role:
I led this project independently from concept to launch. My responsibilities included organizing the content, designing the layout, selecting imagery, creating a custom admissions process timeline, and ensuring mobile responsiveness and accessibility compliance.

Design Process:
With no predefined structure, I reviewed the existing “Parent Resources” page and analyzed student demographics to better understand the audience. I researched similar college websites to identify key content patterns and used that insight to restructure the information into a clear, parent-friendly format.

I introduced visual hierarchy through typography, cards, and section spacing — and created a custom process bar to simplify the admissions steps. All visual elements and layout updates followed WCAG accessibility standards.

Key Features:

• New hero section with parent/student photography and CTA buttons

• Reorganized content for improved clarity and trust-building

• Visual “Why Choose Lone Star?” highlights using icon-based info cards

• Admissions Process bar designed from scratch based on research

• Fully responsive and tested across major browsers/devices

Outcome:
The page was successfully launched on the Lone Star College website and is accessible from the homepage navigation under “for you” While performance data was not available post-launch, the project resulted in a more modern, accessible, and family-oriented page that better reflects the values of the college.
